Re-Live The Power of One Institutethe Proceedings has arrived!
2007 Institute The 2007 Rotary Institute in Long Beach—the Power of One Institute—was full of surprises, fun, drama, theater and innovation... a different experience than some Institute veterans may have expected.

That innovation continues! With photos, video-clips and more, the official Proceedings of the Power of One Institute is now on the Zones 23/24 Website. Click here to download a copy of the Proceedings.

It can also be accessed by clicking the following link: www.zone2324institute.org.

If you were there, this will bring back pleasant memories and be sure to watch the video clip of the Paul Harris monologue www.rotaryzone2324.org/news/news13-6.html and other special moments.

If you weren’t there, you missed a great one! But you can still get a sense of the flavor by visiting the site. Enjoy!

Important Deadlines - 2010 Council on Legislation
Council on Legislation Two important deadlines are rapidly approaching:

June 30, 2008: Deadline for selection of District Representatives to the April 2010 COL!

Dec. 31, 2008: Proposed legislation from Clubs and Districts for the 2010 COL must be at RI’s headquarters by this date to be eligible for consideration. Given the lead-time necessary for the thoughtful preparation of legislative items, work will need to get underway very soon.

For more details, click here to visit RI’s COL Website, and click here to download the “What’s New for the 2010 COL”.

Seoul, Korea Site for 2016 RI Convention
At its January 2008 meeting, the RI Board of Directors tentatively selected Seoul, Korea as the site for the 2016 RI Convention, subject to the successful identification and negotiation of appropriate dates, venue, housing, transportation, and other contracts, plus all necessary information and contracts required to memorialize the proposal from the host area. Further, the RI Board reaffirmed that the 2015 RI Convention should be held in either Latin America or the Western United States, and requested the general secretary to so notify the districts involved in the bidding process.

West Coast Regional Ambassadorial Scholar Orientation
There are few seminars one can attend to strengthen their presentation skills for training and speeches while serving as an Ambassadorial Scholar, a GSE team member or otherwise.

All in-bound and out-bound scholars as well as GSE teams are invited to attend the West Coast Regional Ambassadorial Scholar Orientation 22-23 Feb 2008 in San Jose.

Alumni, host counselors, club sponsors, Foundation chairs, Scholarship chairs, DGs, DGEs, DGNs and other Rotarians are encouraged to attend if they have an interest in Ambassadorial Scholars. Most Districts have budgets that should cover the registration for their teams. For more details, go here: www.WestCoastRegionalRIAmbassadorialScholarOrientation.org

Zone Online Directory
Zone Online Directory When looking for the contact information of a fellow past officer, remember to look in the Zone Online Directory. This is where you will find the most current information. Help us keep this information current. If any of your contact information changes, remember that you can do the update online. You can send us a directory update change request by clicking the "Edit" icon, on the right of somebody's name: Edit Icon to click. Update the information and click the "Save" button. This change request will be sent to us, and we will soon validate it and update the database accordingly. Note that you can submit change requests for somebody else if necessary.

Note that you can use the Zone Online Directory to generate lists by class or district. This is in the "Class and District Lists" section of the directory home page. Select the type of list you want from the pulldown menus. You can also generate a table of photos: you can click here (password protected) to get the table of photos for the 2007-08 class of governors.

See the Directory Help Page for additional help.
